If sustainability professional development and training opportunities for staff are made available or supported, provide at least one of the following:
Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Basics; reduce GHG's (25 attendees). Energy Conservation: Alternative Technologies and Sustainability (21 attendees). Electricity Basics; electrify the future (31 attendees). Carpentry Basics; reduce waste (33 attendees). Masonry Basics; reduce embodied carbon, re-use materials in place (19 attendees). Plumbing Basics; WaterSense go low flow reduce consumption (28 attendees).
In addition, 268 employees (faculty & staff) took the NYS Hazardous Materials information online class titled
"Right to Know - Hazard Communication", and 82 CSEA - Civil Service Employees Association, staff titles took a more in-depth training on Hazardous Materials and Communication (~ 65% of employees total).

Depending on the role of the staff-member, local and regional conferences, seminars, and webinars are available during workplace hours; and/or on approval of a direct supervisor.

This matters to all faculty and staff as SUNY Morrisville works to become a more sustainable, responsible, and inclusive campus. Though as of our FY-2022-2023 current Performance Year, only a small percentage of staff actually have the word Sustainable/Sustainability in their performance reviews.
