Name or title of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome:
Resident and Lecture Hall Composting Program

A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome that outlines how credit criteria are met and any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation:

Our Res. and Lecture Hall Composting Program is a student lead initiative that puts compost receptacles in nearly every building on campus. Students use an up-cycled GEM car, that is charged in our eGarden with renewable energy to make bi-weekly compost pick-ups. The organic waste is then composted and used on campus. Student interns take weight measurements of each pick-up to determine the amount of organics being diverted from the landfill.
