Dan Dezarn, head of the Office of Sustainability, serves as a co-chair of the SUNY Sustainability Coalition, which includes sustainability professionals that advocate for sustainability initiatives to state government and SUNY system. Additionally, the SUNY Chancellor is a huge advocate for sustainability; the coalition is currently working on a document that would commit the SUNY system to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

SUNY Geneseo is a member of the UN Global Compact. Furthermore, we have adopted the UN Sustainable Development Goals as a metric for reporting on our sustainability activities on campus.
