SUNY Geneseo is a participating member of SUNY's UC3 commitment. The University Climate Change Coalition, or UC3, is a bold new coalition of 18 leading North American research universities that will prototype a collaborative model designed to help local communities achieve their climate goals and accelerate the transition to a low-carbon future. SUNY Geneseo provides space for college/community meetings and allocates employee hours to advance the UC3 mission.

A partnership agreement between the college and Letchworth State Park forming an educational collaborative to create a new Letchworth Nature Center. Employee hours are allocated to the program. Equipment was purchased to outfit educational space by Geneseo. the partnership focuses on stewardship of natural resources.

The trail is a walking trail that invites public use across College, Town, Village and private parcels in a loop of the area providing access to the natural environment. The loop encompasses various ecosystems such as woodlots, wetlands surburban settings and municipal facilities. The loop connects community resources and encourages foot travel, and provides access to the diverse Geneseo community.
