Environmental Studies Minor: The Environmental Studies Program approaches environmental problems from the perspectives of the natural sciences and the social sciences. Natural science considerations include pollution of the air and water, weather conditions, energy resources, and the harmful effects of pesticides and radiation. Social science aspects include the impact of governmental policies and programs, the urban environment, environmental management and planning, and economic costs and benefits of pollution abatement measures.
