A brief description of how the institution’s library(ies) support open access to research:
Researchers seeking long term archiving and preservation for their data can contact the library to discuss relevant services and resources available across the campus. Library staff can also help faculty locate a discipline-specific data repository for long-term archiving. Many of these have specific requirements for depositing data (documentation, file formats, etc.). The library currently provides research and author consultation services for faculty and student researchers as they prepare their research data and content for publication. Our library faculty can advise researchers on open access policies, copyright, and licensing when faculty are unsure of how to publish open access. The library also provides programming and training workshops for faculty on all aspects of open access education.
