A brief description of how the institution meets the criteria:
It is the policy of SUNY Fredonia to take affirmative action to ensure that Minority and Women-Owned
Businesses (M/WBE) that are certified by New York State are given the opportunity to demonstrate their
ability to provide the University with goods and services at competitive prices. When a department
utilizes a New York State certified vendor, their account will be credited 10% of the total amount.
Departments need to note that the vendor is an M/WBE to insure that they receive that credit and
assure reasonableness of price.
