Governance
Shared governance is central to the vitality of the modern college community. The members of the Farmingdale State College faculty, staff and administration pride themselves on the success of their vibrant college governance environment, a system based on a core of cooperation and respect for one another. As per the by-laws, both faculty and professional staff are eligible to participate as well as join standing committees.

Student Government Association Inc.
Farmingdale State College Student Government Association is the unified voice of the student body. It serves to provide an active, diverse, and safe campus community that enriches the learning experience for Undergraduate and Graduate students alike. They recommend policies and procedures, which serve to support and broaden the intellectual, social, cultural, and political needs of the campus. They oversee the fair disbursement of collected student activity funds, as well as work closely with student organizations to provide vivacious, fun, and educational events on campus.

All full-time FSC employees are unionized either through CSEA or UUP. This unites and gives all employees a voice in the workplace.
