- Anti-Racism Task Force - To proactively identify and address matters related to racism on campus that serve as barriers or inhibitors of maximum academic, social and personal success for our BIPOC students. Furthermore, we strive to contribute to the creation of a campus climate that is socially and racially inclusive, diverse and just for ALL our students. We intend to fulfill this mission through: education, multimedia and communications, policies and procedures, and data collection/analysis.
- Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Expression (SOGIE) Committee - SOGIE fosters a safe and positive environment for the LGBTQIAP communities at SUNY Cortland. We provide advocacy and support the development of curriculum, scholarship, events and programs that are both educational and social and are designed to cultivate positive attitudes toward LGBTQIAP individuals and issues.
- Beloved Community Narratives Project - In the spirit of Dr. King's powerful vision, SUNY Cortland's Beloved Community Narratives Project will offer students, faculty, staff and alumni an opportunity to share their diverse stories. This project will feature a collaboration of photographic portraits created by photographer Adam Mastoon, and powerful text and artwork created by courageous, empowered SUNY Cortland community members, willing to share their voices and vision with the community at large. The resulting exhibit will generate an inspiring and insightful window into the lives of SUNY Cortland students, faculty, staff and alumni who are committed to creating a “beloved community” of acceptance, civility, diversity and respect for self and others.
