List or sample of currently active/available applied learning or living laboratory experiences for students that address sustainability challenges:
Geography professor Christopher Badurek's GIS course students are working with the SUNY Cortland Study Abroad office staff to track carbon emissions of the entire study abroad program. This data will be used to set up a carbon offset program that intends to make our study abroad program carbon nuetral.
Recreation and Leisure Studies Professor Jaqueline Dyke teaches a recreation activity course on gardening which uses the campus model garden beds.
Campus Energy Manager, Matt Brubaker. has offered to multiple classes experiences of our campus energy infrastructure, including our PV solar field and our geothermal water source heat pump system.
