Tree Campus USA was initially applied for and achieved in April 2014. Since then the college has continued to coordinate efforts between grounds staff as well as other stakeholder groups on campus in the maintenance of our tree replacement plan. We also continue to assist the adjacent communities in tree canopy assessments in coordination with our GIS students. Our Tree Campus USA was achieved each year since 2014. Most recently recognized in the 2017 period. https://www.arborday.org/programs/treecampususa/campuses.cfm

Bee Campus USA was initially applied for and achieved in 2016. We have maintained our Bee Campus requirements through our Garden Advisory Committee. In 2018-2019 fiscal year, we will also be expanding on educational signage that was installed in 2016. SUNY Cortland has maintained our participation in Bee Campus USA each year since we started in 2016.
