Members of the institution advocate for renewable energy and green jobs policy through involvement on committees, advocacy groups, public comments, etc. For example, Dr. Brice Smith serves in an advisory capacity with the New York Solar Energy Industries Association which advocates for national regional energy policies including common interconnection plans. In addition, several members are working on advocating for policy with respect to the New York State Reforming the Energy Vision (NYS REV) and advocating for continued NYSERDA funding for the Green Jobs – Green New York (GJGNY) Program.
