A brief description of the sustainability-focused immersive program(s) offered by the institution:
Childhood/Early Childhood Education offers a class called "The Adirondack Classroom." This course is designed for educators to use the Adirondacks as a classroom and to bring the Adirondacks to their classroom. The participants study the cultural and natural history of the Adirondacks while creating integrated project-based teaching and learning materials. Course is taught at SUNY Cortland's Outdoor Education Center at Raquette Lake. Also listed as EST 548.
