A brief description of how the institution engages in public policy advocacy for sustainability, including the issues, bills, and ordinances for or against which the institution has advocated:
The institution observes all federal, state and local policies, including the Clean Air Act. We are working with the City of Cortland to ensure a safe environmental venue for our New Student Life Center, a large capital project. Raquette Lake, one of the Adirondack Great Camps,is a national historic landmark that belongs to the College. All regulations re: construction, repair and maintenance are observed. The College recently purchased propane buses,which have been specially wrapped to advertise our commitment to the environment.
