*Sustainability Competition with Ithaca College
( CORTACA Challenge)
*SUNY System,Office of Capital Facilities (OCF) provides sustainability coordinator for shared resources/services and provides guidance for all SUNY Campuses.
In addition the OCF through its office of Energy Procurement and Utility Regulatory Affairs provides optional services for all energy procurement which we take advantage of.
The three AVP of Facilities Management, Finance and Management, and Information Resources presented at the NACUBO National Conf. In Chicago in 2007 a sustainability presentation. This was later presented in St Louis at SRCUBO. In Buffalo at SUNY/PPAA and NYAPPA summer conference.

• We have completed our Green House Gas inventory and in 2011 submitted our GHG mitigation plan
• AASHE – SUNY Cortland joined the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education in 2007 - Attending Ball State Greening of the campus initiatives 2007 and 2009 and U Maryland Smart Sustainable Campus conferences in 2007 and 2008.
• 2009 – Green Resource Hub – promotes green businesses and promotes green initiatives within our regional community
• 2010-Cornell Co-operative Extension Waste Management Institute – developing strategies to reduce waste streams and increase recycling stream.
• 2010 Multiple Interveners – Working with other peer institutions, through SUNY Administration to address utility pricing and energy purchasing guidelines
