A brief description of the institution’s sustainability partnerships with the local community:
Sustainable Cortland is a community-based organization dedicated to sustainable solutions for Cortland County by advocating for the health and well-being of our citizens, environment, and local economy.
They are a group of community leaders who gather once a month to organize events and discuss sustainability for Cortland County. Representative from Cortland Downtown Partnership, Cortland Soil and Water, the area Farmers’ Markets, Seven Valleys Health Coalition, SUNY Cortland, among others, make up what we call “Sustainable Cortland,” a project that originated from the Sustainability Track.
