The campus regularly assesses gender equity via the Gender Climate Survey, which is administered every 5 years. Also, the Title IX survey is administered campus-wide every 5 years. (See www2.cortland.edu/offices/presidents-office )The Human Resources Office regularly assesses equity in faculty salaries. (Note: 2005/6 of both documents available on the President's website; 2011/12 are in progress.)

A brief description of how the results of the assessment(s) are used in shaping policy, programs, and initiatives:
The President's Committee on the Status and Education of Women oversees three branches: the Gender Climate Survey Committee, the Title IX Self-Study Committee, and Women's Initiatives (the programming body of the organization.) Final reports are produced every 5 years for the Gender Climate Surveys and the Title IX Self-Study. Results are disseminated campus-wide and the final reports posted on the President's Website. The Gender Implementation Team reviews recommendations and seeks ways to implement those recommendations. (See www2.cortland.edu/committees/women )
