A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome:
Green Rep. Program-credit bearing program
The original program was started with Facilities Management in 2007. Each year few students were hired to promote sustainability among all residence hall residents. this program now is taken over by Residence Life and Housing. Facilities still pays for the stipend of the Green Reps and Residence Life and Housing pays for programming and supplies.
A team of sixteen individuals are hired as Greenreps each semester to educate the campus, one for each residence hall. These Greenreps educate our residents and campus community by creating educational resources for the hall such as bulletin boards, hosting programs in the residence halls on campus and collaborating to create campus wide events each semester.
