Sustainability Across the Curriculum
SUNY Brockport is committed to being a Sustainable and Thriving University for the 21st Century (Building a Better Brockport, Goal 3). One way we can do this is by infusing sustainability concepts and awareness into our courses. This workshop will explore how to inform and educate our students so that they can enter the world with a strong understanding of the importance and methods of sustainability (regardless of their discipline!)
Through this workshop participants will:
1. Recognize that sustainability is a broadly interdisciplinary subject
2. Incorporate sustainability principles and concepts into your course content
3. Create assessments/assignments that evaluate student learning and ability to apply sustainability concepts and principles in your discipline.
Presented by James Zollweg, Earth Sciences, James Spiller, History, and Marcie Desrochers, Psychology
