A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation :
Members of the Sustainability Committee table and talk to incoming students about SUNY Brockport's sustainability efforts. A kiosk powerpoint presentation and an activity is provided.

Freshman students can elect to live in The Green House, which is a living learning community, is designed for freshmen and transfer students with less than 25 credits who are interested in environmental initiatives, sustainability and making a difference locally and globally. In a residence hall atmosphere that is focused on achievement and success, you will have frequent interactions with faculty and staff, as well as opportunities to make environmental improvements on campus and in the community.
