A brief description of the cultural competence trainings and activities:
Cultural Competence trainings and activities that are available to all students, faculty and staff are associated with the cultural celebrations and presentations that are offered on a regular basis throughout the academic year here at Stark State College. At a minimum, presentations and celebrations occur on a monthly basis and generally includes, but is not limited to: MLK Day Black History presentations Women in History Religion and Faith HIV/AIDS Awareness Native American Indian History Holidays of the World This office of Multicultural Student Affairs also provides support to clubs and organizations that have been created to support underrepresented groups on campus as well as to educate the greater Stark State population. Those clubs and organizations include: Cultural Diversity Club Heads Up: Minority Males supporting Minority Males Women of Color Native American Indian Organization
