A brief description of the program(s):
Stark State College will leads an annual Sustainability Across the Curriculum Faculty Workshop. All participants are eligible to recieve a monetary stipend for creating a new sustainability module for a course that will be taught during the upcoming academic year. The stipend requirements are:
1.Create an integrated assignment or a revised course module that:
a.integrates one or more “big ideas” from sustainability into an existing course and
b.will be taught during the 2012/2013 academic year.
2.Provide a written description of the assignment/module that will be posted on the Stark County Educational Network for Environmental Sustainability (SCENES) at www.starkscenes.org.
3.Regroup with workshop participants during the following spring to discuss “lessons learned” through implementation of the module.
