A list or brief description of the institution level or division level sustainability learning outcomes:

Sustainability as a learning outcome for all students is specifically listed as one of the driving principles of sustainability at Stanford as directed by former Stanford Provost John Etchemendy. See http://sustainable.stanford.edu/about/principles

Stanford’s sustainability institutes also list the same university-wide learning outcome on their respective sites. Some examples are below:
https://tomkat.stanford.edu/about
https://energy.stanford.edu/about/about-us

The Provost instituted this institution-level sustainability learning outcome in January 2017, leading to the score increase for this credit over that of Stanford's 2016 STARS submission.

Does the institution specify sustainability learning outcomes at the program level (i.e. majors, minors, concentrations, degrees, diplomas, certificates, and other academic designations)?:
Yes

A list or brief description of the program level sustainability learning outcomes (or a list of sustainability-focused programs):

The attached list shows degree programs that specifically state sustainability as a learning outcome as part of the process of earning that specific degree. These 38 departments champion sustainability above and beyond the level of other departments on campus. However, students are also exposed to sustainability through many other avenues at Stanford, including introductory seminars, general education courses, and campus as a living lab opportunities, among others. Thus, as noted above, sustainability has been stated as a learning outcome for all students, regardless of the degree program they choose.

Do course level sustainability learning outcomes contribute to the figure reported above (i.e. in the absence of program, division, or institution level learning outcomes)?:
No

A list or brief description of the course level sustainability learning outcomes and the programs for which the courses are required:
