The sustainability professional, or his/her designee, reviews the current University undergraduate and graduate course catalogues and uses the keywords/phrases in Table 1 to identity courses with content related to sustainability. The courses titles, numbers and brief descriptions are placed into a excel file.
A sustainability course is a course in which the primary and explicit focus is on sustainability and/or on understanding or solving one or more major sustainability challenge (e.g. the course contributes toward achieving principles outlined in the Earth Charter).
A course that includes sustainability is primarily focused on a topic other than sustainability, but incorporates a unit or module on sustainability or a sustainability challenge, includes one or more sustainability-focused activities, or integrates sustainability issues throughout the course.

Per the Assoc. Registrar there were 801 unduplicated undergraduate courses for 2016FA and 2017SP combined. There were 54 grad level courses.
