A brief description of the program, including an indication of its scope (e.g., the number of bicycles the program makes available, participation levels, etc.):
Our science library loans, rugged, simple bikes that are able to withstand heavy use and require only routine maintenance. Faculty, staff and students may check out the bikes from the library for a 4 hour period. Each borrower is issued a bike lock and offered a helmet. During the Spring Semester 2013 our seven bikes circulated 234 times, more than 30 times per week for each bike.
