A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome :
In partnership with National Grid, St. Lawrence will host one ChargePoint Networked Charging Station with two electrical nozzles, providing electric vehicle (EV) owners the opportunity to recharge their vehicles while parked in EV only parking spaces. In an effort to make use of electric vehicles more viable St. Lawrence's charging station is one of multiple recently installed across Northern New York. This station and the free charge may be the incentive University and community members need to make the decision to purchase an electric vehicle. Each fossil fuel vehicle replaced with an electric vehicle represents decreased greenhouse gas emissions.
