Features include:
- 56% reduction in energy consumption
- 57% reduction in energy costs
- 60% reduction in GHG emissions
LEED Gold Hello Future – Student Life and Innovation Centre:
This 80,000 ft2 new construction achieved LEED Gold designation and achieves 100% of its cooling and a significant portion of its heating via a geothermal field.
Features include:
- Rainwater harvesting and a cistern which uses grey water for toilet flushing and irrigation,
- High efficiency and passive solar lighting,
- High efficient envelope,
- Use of low/no VOC products and finishes
- 100% use of FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified wood products,
- Inclusion of Indigenous Ways of Knowing and Being through the creation of an Indigenous Centre, Indigenous Garden and canoe displays that honor both past and present indigenous communities.
