Name or title of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome:
A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome that outlines how credit criteria are met and any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation:
The Climate Leadership Program is a two-phase project where participants will identify needs in the local community by conducting a needs assessment, defining what that need is, developing ideas that address those needs, and then pitching their team's project to win funding to implement their climate action project to a panel of diverse judges.
The purpose of the Climate Leadership Program is to guide, inspire, and scale climate action in our local community through our students. Providing real-world opportunities for participants to get engaged, network, and explore social impact.
To ensure the participants are focusing their project on climate action as the funding dictates and guides some of the research process we have grouped several categories for their projects to fall under. This is not limited to just one group and they can theoretically park in multiple categories with their ideas.
