A brief description of the student educators program (1st program):
Ideation Workshops are delivered to Project Management students in every section. This assignment requires students students to brainstorm innovative and creative ideas under the scope of the UN SGDs. The SDGs are presented and then selected as a baseline and/or focus point to develop a project idea for coursework. Student educators leading the program are trained in the SDG LABs program offered to Project Management students to help establish a thorough understanding of the SDGs before the begin delivering the workshops to students.

2nd program
A brief description of the student educators program (2nd program):
The Sustainability Assistant Student supports SLC's sustainability engagement strategy that is aimed at increasing awareness and engagement with the campus community, helps to build a culture of sustainability on campus, and helps to position the college as a leader in sustainability within the wider community. The role of this paid position focuses on engaging the SLC student community through sustainability initiatives, events, and opportunities. This position is a recurring role that is assigned to one student per academic year. The student is trained by the office of sustainability to deliver peer engagement and outreach programs to the student community. The student employee runs sustainability events (i.e. reusable container awareness campaigns, Earth Day activities, Commuter Challenge events, food bank collection, and sustainability month wokshops), oversees the sustainability team's social media outreach, assists with drafting newsletter stories featuring sustainability developments at SLC, and organizes pop-up and club social events.

The Sustainability Assistant Student Position is based on the Kingston campus and target audience for this program include SLC students and faculty of the entire college community.

A brief description of the student educators program (3rd program):
This program was started with a group of students who work with community partners to receive training on key financial literacy topics. Students fo on to host multiple workshops and present on topics such as budgeting basics, debt elimination, what are financial needs vs wants, navigating banking services, etc. These students also collaborate with trained accountants to host a free tax clinic. This is an important resource for SLC students, particularly for international students who are learning about the Canadian tax system and the submission process.

Our primary demographics are international students coming to Canada as they are being introduced to a new banking system. The program promotes financial literacy and basics needed for starting a new student life in Canada. The program is open to all students and staff/faculty, and targets those in need of support in the St. Lawrence College community.
