The St. Lawrence College library offers the ability to host open-access articles published by members of the SLC community, through the collections feature of our integrated library system (ILS), ALMA, called ALMA-D (digital). Currently, this institutional repository is used primarily for the Honours Bachelor of Behaviour Psychology Applied Theses, where we have 2008-present available for public access. The library provides lists of available Open Access journals via our A-Z Resource list, with the Subject filter set to “Open Access & Education Resources”. We link-check and research for additions to this list before the start of every academic year, as well as make additions on request throughout the year.

Policy overview: The purpose of the SLC Institutional repository is to provide a place to host and make discoverable and accessible faculty and student-created scholarly works. Works are stored in a cloud-based repository, described/arranged by the library, and made publicly available through the Page 1+ search platform. All submissions must be reviewed carefully to ensure copyright and licensing obligations are met.
