A brief description of the sustainability-focused immersive program(s) offered by the institution:
Students in the Energy Systems Engineering Technology program participate in a Work Placement Program, where they embark on a 4 week unpaid placement within the fields of renewable energy and/or energy management. Student learn from the 'on the job' experience while applying their program learning outcomes.
Students enrolled in the GENE 115 Sustainability Course get an immersive experience throughout the semester sharing the program with Sustainability-focused course students from Costa Rica and in April they go to Costa Rica to experience sustainability practices and programs alongside these students.
