Graduates from our Energy Systems Engineering Technician and Technology (ESET) programs can pursue exciting careers such as Renewable Energy System Designers and Clean Energy System Project Managers and Installers. In addition, our graduates have expertise in building energy management and building energy systems, where they can find rewarding employment opportunities as Energy Managers and Energy Auditors.
Our successful graduates demonstrate how every year, businesses, governments and consumers are becoming more concerned with the financial and environmental costs of energy usage. Our ESET graduates are filling the growing needs of this marketplace for capable employees with their knowledge and skills in designing, building, and implementing renewable energy systems, as well as to auditing energy use in commercial and residential buildings and making recommendations to reduce energy demand, emissions and cost.

The Wind Turbine Technician program provides students with in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience of the electrical and mechanical aspects as they relate to wind turbines. Students also learn fiberglass repair techniques as they relate to wind turbines. Students receive safety training for working at heights and in confined spaces. Students interested in the electrical field and who successfully complete the program also have the opportunity to be exempt from the in-school portion of the industrial electrician and construction and maintenance electrician apprenticeship certification.

The Environmental Technician program gives students the essential skills required to succeed in the environment sector and prepares them to participate in the expanding green economy. The Environmental Technician program provides a well-rounded skill set for employment in a wide range of environmental sectors through required courses in water and air quality, waste management, occupational health and safety, and environmental assessment.

This certificate explores the practices, principles and philosophies involved in local food system development. The focus is on increasing both academic and hands-on knowledge of regional food initiatives across Canada, alongside international best practices. There is a specific concentration on applied learning, online networking, and community research. This certificate is the first of its kind in Canada, providing a cutting edge advantage when competing for work in the sustainable local food sector.
