Does the institution have a published strategic plan or equivalent guiding document that includes sustainability at a high level? :
Yes

A brief description of how the institution’s strategic plan or equivalent guiding document addresses sustainability:

The Colleges vision for our future is to be 'rooted in our communities, we will be a globally recognized college delivering innovative learning opportunities and preparing career-ready graduates to be leaders in their fields.

Sustainability is among the 3 major strategic directions set forth by the college.

We are committed to be accountable for our decisions and actions to ensure our long-term viability, reduce our environmental impact and foster a healthy and dynamic college.

The plan allowed for the development of our Integrated Risk Management Policy, where 'risk' is defined as an event that may adversely affect the achievement of the College’s strategic directions.

By selecting sustainability as one of our three strategic directions the Board of Governors, Finance and Administration Committee, the Academic Committee, Advancement, Student and External Affairs Committee, Audit Committee, President and CEO, Senior VP Corporate Services, College Managers and all College Employees must identify and assess risk to the strategic framework.

Sustainable programs support is an objectives set out in the Strategic Plan. We support the Energy Systems Engineering Technology program, Wind Turbine Technician program, Environmental Technician program and in 2017 we introduced the Supply Chain Management program. These programs have courses that are defined as Sustainable Courses and ones that are defined as containing sustainability.
As a result of our commitment to student success, academic excellence and leadership in our communities. We have consistently ranked among the top three colleges in Ontario and are proud of having achieved first place graduate employment over the years. Over ninety percent (90.5%) of our students were successfully employed within six months of graduation. In addition, we achieved a student satisfaction rating of 81 percent.

The plan also provided guidance on adapting to future learners, we committed to redesigning every program by 2015 to include at least one fully on line course. Student have the experience of online academic delivery, they will be supported to use these tools effectively. Hybrid courses that combine classroom and web-based delivery will increasingly maximize both student learning and student satisfaction. Hybrid and distance education can alleviate many time and space constraints while better meeting the needs of contemporary learners.
