INSTITUTION BOUNDARY :

Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering (SSN) was started in 1996 by Padma Bhushan Dr.Shiv Nadar. The college was opened in 1996 at a temporary location in Thoraipakkam in the suburbs of Chennai, Tamil Nadu as an affiliate of Anna University. It later moved to a 246.4-acre campus at Kalavakkam (Thiruporur Panchayat) on Rajiv Gandhi Salai (Old Mahabalipuram Road) in 1998.

• On-Campus Facilities:

  • All academic buildings, administrative offices, laboratories, libraries, lecture halls, and research centers that are owned or leased by SSN College.
  • Student housing and residential facilities, if applicable.
  • Recreation and wellness centers, as well as other campus amenities.

• Energy & Utilities:

  • The boundary includes all energy consumption for lighting, heating, cooling, and electricity that is controlled by SSN College.
  • Any renewable energy installations, water consumption, waste management, and other resource use within SSN's operational control are included.

• Transportation:

  • The institutional boundary encompasses all vehicles owned or operated by SSN College, including campus shuttles, maintenance vehicles, and other transport under the college’s jurisdiction.

• Outlying Facilities:

  • All off-campus facilities directly managed by SSN College are included within this boundary, such as research stations, affiliated outreach centers, or field study locations.
  • Leased or rented spaces, if SSN College maintains operational control, are considered part of the boundary.

• Exclusions:

  • Properties or facilities that are neither owned nor operated by SSN College and are beyond the institution’s operational control are excluded.
  • Independent organizations that operate on campus but are not under SSN’s direct management are also outside the boundary.
