DATA COLLECTION:

Our institution is committed to promoting sustainable commuting options, and we track the commute modal split to understand and improve how our students, faculty, and staff travel to campus. The commute modal split measures the proportion of different transportation methods used, including walking, cycling, public transit, carpooling, and single-occupancy vehicle (SOV) trips. This data helps us assess the environmental impact of commuting and identify opportunities to encourage more eco-friendly choices. Based on recent surveys and transportation data, we’ve implemented programs that support alternative transportation modes, such as, carpool matching services etc. We continually evaluate our commute modal split through regular assessments, using the results to refine and expand our sustainable commuting initiatives. Our goal is to shift more of our community to sustainable commuting options, supporting our broader mission to create an environmentally responsible campus The students are not allowed to commute with their own vehicle. All the students use college provided Commuting system. The details are as follows
