SUSTAINABLE PROCUREMENT SYSTEM:
Our institution’s commitment to sustainability extends deeply into our procurement practices. We are practicing procurement that align with our environmental, ethical, and social values. We are focuses on purchasing items with reduced environmental impact, including certified organic food, recycled and recyclable materials, and energy-efficient technology. We are work closely with suppliers to ensure that materials are sourced responsibly, considering factors such as fair labor practices and humane treatment in supply chains.
To maintain accountability, our procurement team regularly reviews vendor sustainability certifications and compliance with standards such as Green Seal, Fair Trade, and LEED certifications for larger construction and renovation projects. We have established clear criteria for all new purchases, encouraging staff across departments to select options with minimal environmental impact. This system not only supports the institution's sustainability goals but also fosters a culture of responsible consumption, educating stakeholders on the importance of environmentally and socially conscious procurement decisions.
