ABOUT SSN INTER-CAMPUS COLLABORATION:

In an educational institution, leadership plays a crucial role in strengthening the  inter-campus collaboration on sustainability initiatives. Many of our faculty facilitate collaboration between different campuses by establishing communication channels, setting up joint committees, and encouraging the sharing of resources and expertise. To name of few, our faculty were played the role of Session chairs and Guest speakers for many sustainability related conferences, events organized by other colleges.

1.  Dr. P.Kaythry, Associate Professor/ ECE, gave a  talk to the first year undergraduate students at  Shiv Nadar University, Chennai titled “ Climate Change and Health” on  29th August 2022.

Dr. P.Kaythry, ASP/ECE , gave a talk on sustainability for the first year Social service student volunteers on 12th October 2023 at New Prince Shro Bhavani Engineering College and Technology.

SSN College plays a key leadership role in inter-campus collaboration by actively participating in networks like ANIHEES, where it contributes to joint research projects and sustainability initiatives. The college facilitates knowledge exchange through workshops, shared courses, and collaborative pilot projects, such as the "Eco-Friendly Solar Photovoltaic Pole for Multi-Utility

ANIHEES- Energy, Environment and Sustainability 

The project titled "SSN Eco-Friendly Solar Photovoltaic Pole for Multi-Utility" was selected for prototype demonstration under the second wave of the ANIHEES (Energy, Environment, and Sustainability) conference network. This innovative project aims to address the growing need for sustainable infrastructure by integrating solar energy solutions with practical, multi-functional urban and rural applications.

Project Overview:

The proposed Eco-Friendly Solar Photovoltaic Pole is a versatile, sustainable product designed to serve multiple purposes, ranging from energy-efficient street lighting to charging stations for electric vehicles, public Wi-Fi hotspots, and environmental sensors. The concept integrates solar photovoltaic panels with a smart pole system, harnessing solar energy to power various utilities without relying on grid electricity. This reduces carbon emissions and promotes the use of renewable energy in public infrastructure.
