Students actively participate in a variety of civic engagement programs aimed at fostering community development and social responsibility. Through special annual village camps, students collaborate with local communities to address pressing needs, such as organizing tree plantations, conducting lake and beach cleanups, and supporting environmental conservation. Additionally, they engage in crucial public service initiatives like Voter ID registration drives, immunization camps, and volunteering in healthcare efforts. Beyond these, students also contribute to educational outreach by organizing career guidance programs and soft skills training for underprivileged students in rural areas. These initiatives are supported by documented evidence available through the institution’s community activities social media website, showcasing their ongoing impact and community involvement.

Narrative of the Methododology:
Student participation in civic engagement programs was determined by first identifying relevant activities such as community service and volunteer projects. Data was collected through surveys sent to student organizations, departments, and faculty coordinators overseeing these activities. We collaborated with the Outreach Office to verify and cross-check participation records. Event attendance and volunteer logs were reviewed to ensure accurate counting and to avoid double-counting students involved in multiple programs. Finally, the verified data was analyzed and reported in the AASHE STARS submission, highlighting the extent of student engagement at SSN College.
