Yes

Percentage of employees assessed, directly or by representative sample:
73

A brief description of the institution’s methodology for evaluating employee satisfaction and engagement:

The Staff Steering Committee is a representative body of non-faculty employees that provides a forum for all staff and works to strengthen the lines of communication across the University, to discuss issues of importance to staff, to develop common approaches to them, and to advise the staff as a whole.

As such, the SSC committee hosts a "Suggestion Box," where any current staff members at Southwestern University can submit feedback about improving working conditions with regards to safety, improving communication between staff and the administration, and/or improving procedures, productivity, or efficiency.

In the 2019-2020 academic year, the SSC has conducted a staff engagement survey to evaluate staff interest in various professional development and/or well-being workshops.

A brief description of the mechanism(s) by which the institution addresses issues raised by the evaluation:

The SSC reviews submissions to the Suggestion Box monthly and takes action to ensure suggestions are given to responsible parties.

In response to the Staff Engagement Survey, the SSC formed a Staff Development Sub-Committee and is actively working with Human Resources to develop a comprehensive well-being program for all employees.
