The Diversity Enrichment Committee encourages campus organizations, departments, and student affairs offices to provide opportunities and programs which further diversity and inclusion on campus.

The Office of Diversity Education works to promote diversity, inclusion, equity, peacebuilding, and social initiatives on campus, it also provides resources and supports the continued development of a positive campus climate.

The Office of Diversity Education offers a variety of social justice and diversity workshops. These workshops include the following:

- Interactive Icebreakers

The Coalition for Diversity and Social Justice, The Office of Diversity Education, and the Diversity Enrichment Committee also sponsors an Annual Diversity Training Retreat for students.

In 2020, Southwestern University joined the Liberal Arts Colleges Racial Equity Leadership Alliance (LACRELA) which provides participating institutions with a 12-month curriculum led by racial-equity experts; an online resource library of rubrics, readings, and case studies; guidance on designing action plans; and campus climate surveys for students, faculty, and staff.
