The Diversity Enrichment Committee encourages campus organizations, departments, and student affairs offices to provide opportunities and programs which further diversity and inclusion on campus.
The Office of Diversity Education works to promote diversity, inclusion, equity, peacebuilding, and social initiatives on campus, it also provides resources and supports the continued development of a positive campus climate.

In 2020, Southwestern University joined the Liberal Arts Colleges Racial Equity Leadership Alliance (LACRELA) which provides participating institutions with a 12-month curriculum led by racial-equity experts; an online resource library of rubrics, readings, and case studies; guidance on designing action plans; and campus climate surveys for students, faculty, and staff.
