Does the institution offer at least one immersive, sustainability-focused educational study program that is one week or more in length?:
Yes

A brief description of the sustainability-focused immersive program(s) offered by the institution:
The SU Switzerland program is a 4-week, 4-credit program specially designed for Southwestern students in collaboration with Franklin University Switzerland (FUS). Held in the Italian-speaking city of Lugano, this program allows students to study sustainability and development in one of the most environmentally friendly nations in the world. This program introduces students to concepts in sustainability, environmental justice, and social justice in the context of the European experience. Students will be asked to examine these issues from an interdisciplinary and critical perspective. This course will cover topics such as sustainable food and agriculture, sustainable transportation, sustainable energy, sustainable resource management, and climate resilience. Ultimately, this course also requires students to consider the contradictions of lived sustainability in Switzerland—a country simultaneously known for livability and sustainability while also demonstrating strong tendencies toward xenophobia, racism, and sexism.
