SOU hosts an Electric Vehicle car share program in partnership with Forth Mobility and the City of Ashland. This helps those that haven't had an opportunity to try an electric vehicle to have access to one as well as providing an EV car share for SOU and the community.

Southern Oregon University has 12 electric vehicle charging stations that are located closer to buildings and access points to incentivize fuel-efficient vehicles.

Southern Oregon University provides 12 electric vehicle recharging stations open to the public for any electric vehicles with a university parking permit or pass.

SOU requires parking permits for parking lots on campus. This additional parking pass charge incentivizes and encourages employees to live closer to campus.

In partnership with the Rogue Valley Transportation District, SOU offers a bus pass to students for 90% off, and faculty and staff get a bus pass for free. The SSRC also partners with the Rogue Valley Commuter Line and offers a free transfer bus line to the Josephine Community Transit. SOU also offers a carpool parking pass permit that is $15 less per term. Carpooling options are also encouraged through the "Get There Oregon" app to track your commutes and see other community members carpooling. Additionally, the Outdoor Program has a Bike Maintenance Shop open and free to all students.
