A brief description of the institution’s wellness and/or employee assistance program(s):
"SNHU cares about the overall wellbeing of its faculty and staff. There are multiple components to the Southern New Hampshire University Wellness Program which supports the emotional, physical, social, spiritual and financial health. SNHU has added a Wellbeing Program Administrator to focus on educating employees on the many resources available to them.
The Employee Assistance Program, provided by Anthem EAP, is designed to provide assistance when employees and their household members need help with life challenges. Resources include confidential telephone consultations, face-to-face counseling visits, financial services, legal services, ID theft protection and recovery, Live Tobacco Free program and comprehensive online resources.
SNHU's medical insurance plan provides coverage for both the physical and mental health of its employees and their families. This includes both in person care and 24/7 online access to board-certified doctors and licensed therapists through LiveHealth Online.
The SNHU Healthy U Team, including members from across the organization, seeks to promote health and wellbeing by providing leadership and opportunities for all SNHU employees to learn, adapt and sustain healthy lifestyles. Throughout the year the Healthy U Team will sponsor programs such as regular activity challenges, Puzzle A Day, nutritional webinars and wellbeing related workshops, courses and meditations. Additionally, there are onsite fitness centers located at each of SNHU’s larger locations.
The Financial Wellness program helps employees feel confident about their financial wellness as they find a healthy balance related to student loans, debt management and saving for retirement. Knowledge of Financial Education (KOFE) offers a free online portal with providing access to resources and education regarding money, budgeting, credit, retirement and more. KOFE also provides live webinars and telephone financial coaching services.
SNHU also provides free, premium access to Care.com, a service to help employees get the family care they need including, childcare, pet care, and senior care.
