Sustainability.siu.edu is our centralized sustainability web resource. It is the one-stop-site for sustainability at SIU. It includes the following main sections: About Us, Green Fee/Green Fund, Participate, Saluki Green Action Team, and Make a Gift, with several subsections. Those subsections include history/achievements, Sustainability Council membership, Green Fund materials, involvement opportunities, news, instructor resources, and more!

Our newsletter has several sections which generally include the following: a note from the Sustainability Director, updates, opportunities/events, news, jobs/internships, inspiration, green tips, and contact information. The link below shows the past newsletters. We've recently been testing a focus on the Saluki Green Action Team regular mailings, which go out more frequently (1-4 times a month):

The Daily Egyptian, our main campus student newspaper, has had an assigned reporter to the sustainability beat off and on over the years. Dissertations and theses written at SIU Carbondale may be checked out at Morris Library if there is a circulating copy available. Digital copies may also be available. SIUC dissertations and theses may be searched by title or author on the Morris Library website. Sustainable Walking Map or Tour

SIU Carbondale has a sustainable walking tour which highlights several projects and initiatives across campus that are supported by the Green Fund. We offer guided Green Tours on the First Friday of every month when classes are in session. In addition, we will facilitate guided green tours and virtual green tours for groups interested as requested.

The Saluki Express mass transit system is SIU Carbondale’s answer to parking and traffic problems. SIU Carbondale students, faculty, and staff, as well as the Carbondale community, are encouraged to get on board. For better convenience, the Saluki Express includes an app to track where riders can view bus routes/schedules in real-time via transloc, on a web browser, mobile device, or by text.
