A brief description of the technology used:
The University Museum recently upgraded all of their gallery lighting to LED technology. A grant from The SIUC Green Fund enabled the use of LED bulbs which reduced energy use in the gallery by 73 percent and due to their long life will reduce bulb waste by 9 times.
