As an organization managing building space greater than 20,000 square feet within the City of Seattle, South Seattle College participate in the City of Seattle Energy Benchmarking program. Annual energy consumption, including electricity, natural gas, and steam heat of all buildings are reported and tracked. All City of Seattle Energy Benchmarking is tracked through the US Environmental Protection Agency's Portfolio Manager online system.

South Seattle College are members of Seattle 2030 High Performance Building District. We voluntarily have agreed to make progress on building environmental efficiency in the realms of energy, water, and transportation. To track progress on the target goals, South Seattle College shares information on energy and water use and on transportation habits.
