The quarterly sustainability newsletter shares information about recent and upcoming sustainability events. It also shares information about sustainability and how to be more sustainable. Students sign up to receive the newsletter by request or by signing the SDSU sustainability pledge. All employees receive the newsletter. https://openprairie.sdstate.edu/sustainability-news/
Campus sustainability efforts have a Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter account. Posts share information about upcoming events, campus sustainability efforts, and tips on how to be more sustainable. All platforms are @sustainsdstate.

At McCrory Gardens Education & Visitor Center there is an outdoor sign discussing the LEED features of their main building as well as their storm water management.
Many of our LEED certified buildings also have a plaque in their entryway displaying their LEED certification level.
There is a sign in the entry of Facilities & Services that displays our STARS silver logo.
Yard signs are placed in landscape beds where native plants are growing.

As part of the campus Warrior Wellness Week, the Sustainability Specialist hosted a campus sustainability tour. Since the event was hosted in February it was not feasible to go directly to some sites, but indoor presentations were given instead. Presentations were given on pollinators, LEED certified buildings, and the American Indian Student Center's connection to sustainability. The tour viewed one of SDSU's five solar from the second floor of the American Indian Student Center. Tour participants then visited the Local Foods Education Center.

All incoming freshman received a sustainability move-in guide & recycling guide prior to move-in weekend. The sustainability guide provided tips for a sustainable move and start to their life on campus. https://www.sdstate.edu/sustainability/student-sustainability-guide

The Sustainability Specialist and student employee submitted two opinion articles for the student newspaper, The Collegian.
The Sustainability Specialist also gives a variety of presentations and hosts booths across campus and in the community on a variety of topics and for a variety of groups. Presentations & booths for FY22 included: Geography Club, Nutrition Club, EHS 119, State and Local Government class, School of Psychology and Sociology Department faculty, Renewable Energy class, CA training, and Girl Scouts.
