The quarterly sustainability newsletter shares information about recent and upcoming sustainability events. It also shares information about sustainability and how to be more sustainable. The Wellness Center Outdoors Program offered a bike clinic that is open to students and employees. The learning outcomes of the clinic included:
a.Utilize safe biking practices when travelling by bike
b.Use common tools that are needed when repairing a bike to repair common damages with bikes and also have the knowledge to complete preventative maintenance to ensure proper bike function.
c.Discuss overall bike features that can help when choosing their next bike (if beyond repair) and how to make it most comfortable (low maintenance, or very customized).
The SDSU Bicycle Committee hosted two outdoor booths focused on educating passerby on campus bike rules, how to lock your bike, and why you should ride your bike.
Smart Cycling Quick Guides were placed at the Wellness Center, Info Exchange, UPD, Res Life main office, Parking office, and Bike Club booths.
