The Division of Research & Economic Development provided a list of all research grants that were submitted through their office. This included both grants that were awarded and not awarded. From this list a keyword search in research title and description narrowed down the list of research projects. The same keyword search was used as for academic courses.
The Sustainability Specialist and a faculty member then read through each research project to see if they were sustainability related or not. Research projects both agreed on were included in the final list. Next, the list of research was sent out to all departments. They were asked to review the research and add any additional research they felt should be included.
