South Dakota State University utilizes a Building Automation System (BAS) to assist in the monitoring of Indoor Air Quality (IAQ). Within the BAS, thresholds are set for IAQ levels. Automatic alarms are generated when a level rises above the threshold which will either automatically increase outside air or it will notify building operators and allow them to make the necessary adjustments.
